LODGING INFORMATION

The conference hotel will be the new Quality Suites - Sleep Inn complex in Rockville, Maryland. The complex is located 5 km South of NIST, and just to the West of Interstate 270 (Exit 8). All rooms in both facilities are provided with desk space and computer hookups. Rooms in the Quality Suites also have refrigerators and microwaves. The hotel provides van transportation to NIST, and all-day transportation, once every 30 minutes, to the nearest Metro station: Shady Grove on the Red Line.

The NIST rate which will be charged will be $99 per room per night for the Quality Suites and $69 per room per night for the Sleep Inn. These rates do not include taxes. The rate is the same regardless of number of occupants, and includes a breakfast buffet in the Quality Suites, available to conference participants lodged in either hotel.

The hotels are located near Shady Grove Road, about 4 km west of the Shady Grove Metro Station. There are a number of restaurants along Shady Grove Road and nearby (though only one is within easy walking distance of the hotels). The hotel provides free drop-off and pick-up van service on request. The Bethesda restaurant district is accessible by Metro, as are numerous restaurants in Northwest Washington, DC.
